Forge Industrial Works opened its doors on July 31st at 128 S. Royal Street in the heart of Old Town. A new destination for all things home and gift-giving, Forge has curated a selection of reclaimed industrial furniture along with an impressive range of antiques, gifts, home accessories, jewelry and much more!
If you have already stopped in to Forge, you may have met the owners, Michelle and Scott Mitchell. Michelle, a native Texan and former flight attendant for American Airlines is now a real estate agent and mother of two teenage boys—both hockey players for the NOVA Ice Dogs. Scott is a native Alexandrian and local builder. He was one of the original developers of the now popular Del Ray. They are also the co-owners of sushi and taco destination Kaizen Tavern as well as the new-to-the-neighborhood SNACKBAR serving classic American fare. Scott and Michelle spend their free time with their sweet dogs, Bo and Eli, watching the boys play hockey, and hanging out with friends and family.
We have all been so busy at Forge since it opened, we haven’t yet had a chance to really celebrate its debut with our neighbors. So, we are hosting a grand opening party on September 21st from 5-9PM. In addition to having the fun event catered by SNACKBAR so you get a taste of what’s coming to Del Ray, we are going to offer three different raffle prizes!
The best part about our grand opening is that there is no purchase required to enter the raffle. Just show up between 5 and 9PM on Thursday, September 21st and put your name and email in the bucket! We can’t wait to meet you and show you what we’ve been up to!
